Race Ready or Not, Let's Just Do Lunch!
For some, Melbourne Cup is all about horse racing, but for most women I know it’s really just an excuse to take time for a long girly lunch with friends. It’s an opportunity to “frock up” and drink champagne (as if we ever needed an excuse!). To be honest, many a year has gone by where I haven’t watched the race, never mind placed a bet!
While it is nice to step out to a restaurant to be waited on and celebrate together, I do love a relaxed lunch at home where there is no rush to vacate the table for the next sitting. No traffic to battle or bills to divide. Entertaining at home has become so much easier. These days we are spoilt for choice by local food purveyors who offer a plethora of delicious cheeses, breads, fruits and other beautiful produce which make entertaining at home super easy. With this kind of more relaxed menu in mind we’ve added some enormous French inspired boards to our range which will provide the perfect platform for your plentiful, fresh grazing selections. Our leaf and shell bowls, being fresh and white are perfect for salads, seafood and fresh berries. No need to spend time in the kitchen away from your guests. Make life easy and allow guest to serve themselves in a warm and relaxed setting.
Setting a beautiful table for girlfriends is a beautiful and generous gesture and one that is a bit of an obsession for us Zjoosh women. We have added to our collection gold rimmed crystal glassware in the most glorious shade of blush pink. Luxurious, feminine and the perfect addition to your super girly table scape! Beautifully boxed so you can store your glassware safely till its next luncheon outing.
When its time to serve dessert, our gold plated cake serving set will add yet another flourish to your girly event as will our gold plated ornate tea strainers. A hot cup of tea served in one of our bone china tea cups with a sweet macaron on the side will provide the perfect finale to your Spring soiree.
