Being acrylic, I won’t break any, I hope.

I broke 3 of my flatmate’s fragile glasses; that is why she suggested I buy the acrylic glasses. But I only found out they were acrylic when I picked the first one up and felt it. Is acrylic plastic, I’d like to know. I really would prefer glass.
