How to Care — Jewellery
Freshwater pearls are one of nature’s most considered treasures. Organic, luminous and unlike any other material, they ask only for a little thoughtfulness in return.

Step by Step
Perfume, hairspray and body lotion can dull a pearl’s surface over time. Let everything else settle before you reach for them. The natural oils from your skin are actually good for pearls — wearing them regularly keeps them at their best.
After wearing, use a soft, dry cloth to gently remove any residue. This simple habit goes a long way in maintaining their lustre.
For a deeper clean, use a cloth barely dampened with water — never submerge pearls or run them under a tap. Dry completely before storing.
Keep pearls separate from other jewellery. Their surface is soft and will scratch against metal or harder stones. A soft pouch or lined jewellery box is ideal. Avoid airtight containers — pearls are organic and benefit from a little air circulation.

A Note on Longevity
Pearls are the only gem made by a living creature. That organic quality is what makes them so special — and it’s also why they respond so well to being worn and cared for with intention. Treat them gently and they will only become more refined with time.
