How to Care — Homeware
Good glassware deserves to be used and looked after in equal measure. Whether it’s an etched vase or a set of hand-blown tumblers, a little care keeps it clear, brilliant and chip-free for years.

Step by Step
Hand washing is always the safest option for quality glassware, particularly etched, hand-blown or decorative pieces. Use warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. A soft bottle brush is useful for reaching inside vases and tumblers.
Rinse with clean warm water to remove all soap residue. Leftover detergent leaves a film that dulls the clarity of the glass over time.
Use a clean, lint-free cloth to dry glassware immediately after washing. Air drying can leave water spots, particularly in areas with hard water. Polish gently in circular motions for a streak-free finish.
Store glassware upright on a stable, flat surface. Avoid stacking pieces inside one another unless they are specifically designed for it — this is a common cause of chips and cracks. Keep in a cupboard away from high-traffic areas where knocks are likely.

A Note on Longevity
Good glassware is meant to be used, not kept. The pieces that get brought out regularly, washed with care and put away properly are the ones that last a lifetime — and the ones that make every table setting feel considered.
