How to Care — Homeware
The velvet lining inside a jewellery box is what makes it feel special. Soft, protective and refined — a little attention keeps it looking just as considered as the pieces it holds.

Step by Step
Use a soft bristle brush — a clean makeup brush works perfectly — to gently brush the velvet lining in one direction. This lifts dust and debris without flattening the pile. Do this every few weeks to keep the interior fresh.
For small marks or stains, lightly dampen a soft cloth with cool water and blot gently — never rub. Work from the outside of the mark inward to avoid spreading. Allow to air dry completely before closing the box.
If the velvet pile has been flattened from pressure or storage, hold a clothes steamer or the steam from a kettle a few centimetres away from the surface. The steam lifts the fibres back up. Never apply the steamer directly to the velvet.
Keep your jewellery box closed when not in use to protect the velvet lining from dust and light. Avoid humid environments such as bathrooms, which can cause velvet to develop a musty odour over time.

A Note on Longevity
A velvet-lined jewellery box is more than storage — it’s the first thing you see when you reach for something you love. Keep the interior brushed and dry, and it will continue to hold your pieces in the quiet, considered way it was designed to.
