A little bit about Georgie: 

I have been Fashion Designing for over 25 years.   

I would have loved to study Fine Arts, but I was very drawn to the fashion industry. I felt it offered me real opportunity to incorporate my artistic talent into a career I could truly enjoy. 

What have been your favourite pieces to design? 

The Cashmere Program has been my firm favourite. I have a specialist design qualification having studied a Master of Arts Degree in Fashion Design and Knitwear from the Royal College of Art in London.  

Who is the Zjoosh Woman you imagine wearing your designs? 

The Zjoosh Woman appreciates beautiful things. She cares about her home and her appearance equally. Her wardrobe is relaxed but she loves clothes that have a unique and identifiable point of difference, be it the colour, shape or design detail. She appreciates pure and luxurious fabrics and understands that beautiful clothes really do make you feel good. 

What’s your inspiration for the Autumn Winter collection? 

Our AW 2023 Collection is comprised of relaxed, easy to wear, comfortable pieces in trending colours and shapes we feel our customers will really relate to and feel at their best when they wear them.  I work closely with Kell (owner/ founder and creative director) and together we collect inspiration from all around us.Our focus as always is on beautiful fabrications such as high quality crisp cottons and linens and our signature Zjoosh knitwear programme is crafted from the finest cashmere and wool/cashmere blends. The way things “feel” is really important. 

This season we’ve incorporated sumptuous textures including tactile velvets and butter-soft leathers to create luxurious, core wardrobe pieces which feel as beautiful as they look.  We’ve also tried to deliver a pop of colour to brighten up the winter wardrobe. 

We refer to WGSN (the UK founded - “World Global Style Network” - an industry respected design and trend resource). We collect images on a daily basis from social media, online research, people watching at restaurants and cafes etc, particularly when travelling overseas. We are on a constant quest to source new fabrics and trims from our manufacturers, and naturally we analyse the data to help us understand the styles and fits our customers prefer.  We always add in a little of what we personally love.  Kell and I text each other constantly at all hours with inspiration for possible new styles to develop. It’s a true labour of love.

Inspiration is everywhere and fashion has the power to change the way a person feels about the day, so it genuinely excites me to add to people’s lives in that way. 

Tell us about the new styles for the season. 

This season we have developed the most beautiful range of knitwear in a combination of shapes. We’ve incorporated tried and tested favourites our customers return for each year, and we’ve added in some new pieces that we feel she will adore. The colours are a blend of gelato sugary pinks and blues, underpinned with the fashion palette of marled oatmeal, latte and crème neutrals which is such an important look at the moment. We've created a pair of amazing bone coloured wide leg denim pants (The Farrahs ) which we have all been waiting for. They work perfectly with our neutral coloured cashmere pieces.  We called out this look out in one of our key campaign images. It’s just so gorgeous. 

Favourite cashmere pieces: 

  • The gelato stripe scarves. All of them! HAVE A LOOK! The colours are so beautifully soft. They are easy to pair back with your existing wardrobe , but also impactful enough to make a statement when worn with the simplest shirt or top. Each scarf has a knitwear friend. For example the pink gelato scarf looks incredible with the pink boyfriend knit, the neutral gelato striped scarf looks amazing with the neutral coloured boyfriend knit.  Matchy matchy but not contrived. 
  • The Collette cardigan is a gorgeous new shape  – Very now. Super cute and feminine. 
  • The Boyfriend jumper, The Vanessa and the Amanda Batwing Jumpers are our tried and tested free size, easy to wear shapes our customers LOVE. We’ve updated in seasonal colours. 
  • The Eddie roll neck vest is a stunning wardrobe staple. We’ve created the Eddie in seasonal neutrals. 

Do you have a mantra for every Zjoosh design? 

I Love to give every garment an identifiable point of difference. It might be an internal cuff detail, special tape or unique stitching pattern. I am a fit specialist with a particular passion for denim and knitwear design. I love designing pieces which have their own unique personality. 

Our hope is that our customers feel amazing when they wear Zjoosh clothes.
